“I’m told…” – Fabrizio Romano shares Man Utd update on possible departure for “very important” star

Manchester United is gearing up for a busy transfer window at Old Trafford, and renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided a significant update on the future of one of their key players.

Updates on Manchester United’s departures…

Manchester United’s turbulent start to the season hasn’t yielded as many positive outcomes as desired by Erik ten Hag.

The Dutch manager attributes the team’s inconsistent form to a lengthy injury list and off-field developments, particularly involving players like Jadon Sancho.

Despite the challenges, Manchester United has shown improvement by winning four of their last five Premier League matches, securing a sixth-place position in the table.

During the upcoming international break, they aim to prepare for a challenging series of upcoming fixtures. Additionally, plans for the January transfer window are in motion at Old Trafford.

While England international Sancho is expected to leave, the club is adamant about not letting him go at a reduced fee or through a loan deal where they cover the majority of his wages, according to ESPN.

Another player who has been strongly linked with a January exit is Brazilian winger Antony.

However, Manchester United is reportedly poised to reject any offers for the former Ajax player in the upcoming transfer window, as reported by Football Insider.

Despite Antony’s lack of goals or assists in 12 appearances this season and the potential competition from Alejandro Garnacho, manager Erik ten Hag is said to be a “huge fan” of Antony’s talent.

Losing him mid-season is not preferable due to limited options in the final third.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has recently provided new information regarding the future of another key Manchester United first-team player, whose status at Old Trafford has come under scrutiny.

Fabrizio Romano drops Casemiro exit news

Earlier this week, talkSPORT reported that Manchester United might entertain offers for seasoned midfielder Casemiro, especially considering the interest from Saudi Pro League clubs in the Brazilian international.

According to the outlet, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the incoming minority stakeholder, would contemplate selling the former Real Madrid player to generate funds for a reconstruction project at Old Trafford.

However, Fabrizio Romano has now suggested in his Daily Briefing via CaughtOffside that Casemiro’s future is contingent on various factors.

“Currently I’m told it’s still quiet with regards to Saudi Pro League clubs and Casemiro. No concrete proposals or negotiations are taking place. We’ll have to see what happens in the summer, but it depends on a lot of factors including Saudi plans, Man United decisions and more. I think he’s still a very important player, but has just been unlucky with his injuries.”

Casemiro has made 12 appearances for Manchester United in various competitions this season, contributing with four goals and one assist (Casemiro statistics – Transfermarkt).

However, his current absence from the team due to a hamstring injury has added uncertainty to his long-term future at Old Trafford. As of now, there is no definitive indication that Casemiro’s position with the club is secure.
