Wolves planing to sign Man United star as Ten Hag looks for replacement

Wolves intend to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Manchester United  during the January transfer window.

The Red Devils have informed the right-back that he is free to leave Old Trafford once the January transfer market opens, according to 90min writer Graeme Bailey.

In addition, Bailey said that manager Erik Ten Hag has been interested in signing a new right-back since the summer, so if Wan-Bissaka were to go, it would allow the 20-time league champions to enter the winter transfer market.

United’s London-born defender Wan-Bissaka, who is 25 years old, is most renowned for his defensive abilities. However, with football always evolving and Trent Alexander-Arnold setting the standard for modern full-backs, Wan-Bissaka has found it extremely difficult to adjust to a new style of play.

Wan-Bissaka, who has hardly played in the previous year due to losing his starting position to Diogo Dalot, a far more forward-thinking fullback, is destined to be shipped off.

Wan-Bissaka, who has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, has appeared in 127 matches across all competitions since joining the Red Devils from Crystal Palace in 2019. He has contributed directly to 12 goals during this time.
