The Bianconeri, previously penalized with a deduction of 15 points earlier this season which was later overturned on appeal, have now faced consequences due to “financial irregularities” and “false accounting” in Turin.

While they have the option to challenge the recent ruling, their current position in the Italian top division has fallen to seventh with only two remaining matches to play.

Consequently, Juventus will not participate in the Champions League next season. In contrast, Arsenal will be competing in the prestigious European tournament, and they might receive a favorable advantage prior to their comeback to elite European competition.

This is because the pots used for the group stage draw are determined by various factors, including titles and trophies earned in the previous season, as well as each club’s UEFA coefficient.

Despite finishing as Premier League runners-up and making their return to the Champions League after a gap of six seasons since 2016-17, Arsenal were initially slated to be placed in Pot 3 for the group stage draw.

However, due to Juventus being excluded and AC Milan having a lower coefficient score than Arsenal, Mikel Arteta’s team is now expected to be elevated to Pot 2.

This advancement means they will avoid being drawn against other teams from that pot, potentially making their draw comparatively easier in theory.

Arsenal is poised to be grouped with esteemed clubs such as Real Madrid, Inter, and Atletico Madrid in Pot 2. They will be allocated to a group that includes teams from Pots 1, 3, and 4, completing the composition of their group for the Champions League group stage draw.
