Why Chelsea will lose to Man City in the Champions League final.
No fan wants to ascertain that their team is going to lose a game. But emotions aside, a more extensive look into the Champions League clash between Manchester City and Chelsea will show only one way the trophy will be going – to Manchester City of course.
Since bringing in Tuchel, Chelsea has transformed their technique of play and have really taken their game one notch higher. Players that the former manager ignored to use are now the backbone of the team.
However, Sports Dias thinks Man City under Pep Guardiola can go all the way to win the Champions League final, and here are 5 logic why:
Chelsea has lost momentum
Like the saying meshes in football, “you are as good as your last game”, Chelsea does not look as fearless as they were some weeks back. In their last 5 games, they have lost 3 times yielding 6 goals.
When Tuchel joined, Chelsea were allowing less and taking the wins, but now it seems their invisibility is nowlong gone.
Kante and Mendy are doubtful
Kante was pulled out of the game against Leicester after he complained of pain. He has been named in the French National team for the Euros which proves it wasn’t a severe issue.
Mendy was also replaced in the game against Aston Villa after he collided with the post while trying to save Villa’s first goal of the game. Chelsea manager, Tuchel has said both players are foreseen to return on Wednesday but anything could still happen in the build-up.

Pep has not lost to the same team/manager 3 times in series.
Since Tuchel took over Chelsea, he has battled Pep’s Manchester City twice, once in the FA Cup semi-final and once in the league.
Surprisingly, Chelsea won both matches even though City did not field their full squad in the FA Cup semi-final and also in the league game just days after.
However, this game is much more significant than that. Just like other managers, Tuchel is the latest to be drawn against Pep as a rival just because he has won some of the games against Pep.
However, This game will be unusual, and other than the medal at stake, Pep will also be making sure he keeps his own history of not getting beaten by the same manager 3 times in a row unimpaired.
Guardiola has never lost a Champions League final
Anybody can lose a final, that is not unique. However, looking at the history, someone that has won most of his final matches is unlikely to lose not only because he would not allow it, the players will also know that they have the benefit.
Pep has been to 2 UCL finals in 2009 and 2011 and he swayed both. Tuchel has been to the UCL final more recently, he got there in 2020 against Bayern Munich and his team was defeated.
Tuchel had the likes of Neymar, Mbappe, Veratti and couldn’t triumph, now he has a misfiring Werner, an overused Mason Mount, a solid Rudiger, and a Mendy that is coming back from injury. It is surely a different squad from what he had last season.
Manchester City are outrageous on their day
Unlike Chelsea, Man City has won 3 of their last 5 games scoring 14 goals and conceding 8. It doesn’t look like a great record on paper but most of these games were not even played with a full team except for the second leg of the UCL semi-final against PSG.
Man City therefore have the upper hand, their players are fit, they are in form and this is also their time to put their names in gold eternally.
Everyone is now tilting on City to win not only because City are favorites but because Chelsea are nowhere where they used to be some weeks ago.
