What is holding Harry Kane back from signing a new contract? A reporter provides a worrisome update
Harry Kane has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich since since the club’s CEO Oliver Kahn and manager Julian Nagelsmann expressed their desire to sign him.
After losing their star striker Lewandowski to Barcelona, the Bundesliga club has chosen Harry Kane as the guy who will eventually replace him, even if it requires patience.
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte responded defiantly to Nagelsmann’s words, claiming Bayern’s talk of the 29-year-old was “disrespectful.”
Christian Falk of Sport Bild (via iMiaSanMia) reports that Harry Kane was considering signing a new contract with Tottenham, but the Bundesliga giants “told him to wait.”
The report concluded:
Bayern want Harry Kane in 2023. The England captain is considering signing a new contract at Tottenham, but Bayern told him to wait because it’s still too early. The club is watching Kane’s situation closely and will try to sign him if he doesn’t renew.
BILD earlier claimed that Kane is willing to join Bayern Munich if the club contacts him.
A few weeks ago, there were ‘loose interactions’ between Kane’s entourage and Bayern management. Next summer, Harry Kane will surely become a viable choice for them.
