What Erling Haaland told Man City teammates after FA Cup final win over Manchester United

Erling Haaland, the talented player from Manchester City, inspired his team with a powerful message as they moved closer to achieving the treble by securing a 2-1 victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Ilkay Gundogan played a crucial role in the match, scoring two goals, with the first one coming just 12 seconds into the game, setting a new record for the fastest goal in an FA Cup final.

Despite Bruno Fernandes’ penalty goal in the 33rd minute, Gundogan’s brace proved to be enough for Manchester City to claim the win.

If Manchester City manages to defeat Inter Milan in the upcoming Champions League final next weekend, they will achieve a remarkable feat by becoming the first team to secure a treble since Manchester United accomplished it in 1999.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Haaland and his teammates celebrated winning the Premier League title, and now the player himself appeared overjoyed as he lifted his second trophy since joining the club last summer.

After the final whistle, Erling Haaland took the opportunity to emphasize a message to his teammates, which was echoed by his fellow players. Cameras captured the Norwegian repeatedly saying “one more” to the Manchester City squad.

Manager Pep Guardiola later confirmed “All the players were telling each other ‘one more to go’ as they were hugging each other. The players feel we are in a position which we may never be in again.

“What we have done as a team is incredible, five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, Carabao Cups, but we have to win the Champions League for us to be recognised how we deserve.

“They are different teams and mentality. That team was so special while we are in our second Champions League final in three years.

“I said to the players you have to put the pressure on yourself. To be recognised as something good you have to win in Europe. That’s how it works.”

During the celebrations, Pep Guardiola was observed engaging in a brief exchange of congratulations with Sir Alex Ferguson, who remains the only manager to have achieved the English treble.

This interaction highlighted the mutual respect between the two successful managers in acknowledging their respective achievements in the game.
