What Erik ten Hag will advise Manchester United executives to do if Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure is approved

Erik ten Hag will make some significant demands in the transfer window if Manchester United allow Cristiano Ronaldo to leave this summer.

The Red Devils have yet to sign a player and have already lost a lot of them.

Ten Hag will advise club executives that if they want to sell Ronaldo this summer, they must sign Ajax star Antony.

The Portuguese international has informed the Red Devils that he wishes to depart during the transfer season in order to compete in the Champions League.

United will not compete in the UCL next season after finishing sixth this season.

Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s agent, has been hunting for a new club for his client and has already spoken with Chelsea’s new owner, Todd Boehly. Bayern Munich and Napoli are both interested in the 37-year-old.

According to the  Mirror, Ten Hag is ready to persuade his superiors to replace Ronaldo with Antony, with the club preparing for life without Ronaldo.

Ajax have set a fee of £70 million for the Brazilian winger, who is interested in joining the Red Devils.

The new manager at Old Trafford, however, is eager to reunite with the 22-year-old after growing him into a top player at Ajax.

Ten Hag is looking to enhance his offensive options with the departures of Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard.

United have enormous ambitions for the transfer window, but despite Ten Hag’s appeals, they have yet to invest a penny.

In addition to Antony, Ajax colleagues Lisandro Martinez and Jurrien Timber have been mentioned.

Tyrell Malacia of Feyenoord is close to joining Manchester United after United hijacked Lyon’s transfer bid.

Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has been linked all summer, and the final figure might be about £120 million.

However, while the Red Devils contemplate whether to let Ronaldo leave, they will expect a fee. The former Juventus star joined from the Serie A club in a £13 million transfer last summer.
