Today, Chelsea is competing against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
As if things couldn’t get any worse for Potter and Chelsea, facing the Champions twice in as many days is something they could have done without right now.
Even though Chelsea lost on Thursday night, they had a decent showing, so they’ll be hoping to replicate that performance today.
Naturally, Potter is under some pressure, but he has been quick to emphasize how much of a transitional period the club is in and how different it will be from the last 20 years under Roman Abramovich’s ownership.
The last time Chelsea lost to City in the league was only a few days ago, but they must attempt to take the game to them and earn a victory today.
This week, manager Graham Potter addressed the media in advance of the game. He maintains that he is not always as placid as he appears and that he does, in fact, experience anger.
Last week, his demeanor on the sidelines was oddly questioned by some Chelsea fans on social media.
However, Potter is not looking for excuses, and the embargoed portion of his most recent press conference contains some very interesting statements from Potter, who has come out fighting.
He says that he is more confident in his ability to achieve success at Chelsea now that he has established himself at the club.
As you can see, he even called reporters’ questions “stupid.”
