(Video): Frank Lampard identifies something that Haaland has done better than Drogba
During the press conference prior to Chelsea’s match against Manchester City, Frank Lampard was inevitably questioned about the possibility of facing Erling Haaland, an exceptionally prolific scorer who recently set a new record for goals in a Premier League season.
Lampard was prompted to draw a comparison between Haaland and one of his former teammates, the formidable striker Didier Drogba.
Although Lampard declined to directly compare the two players, he did highlight one aspect in which Haaland had already outperformed Drogba.
Lampard emphasized that despite the initial uncertainties surrounding Haaland’s adaptation to the Premier League and Manchester City’s playing style, the young forward has seamlessly acclimated and performed exceptionally well right from the beginning.
In contrast, Lampard recalled that Drogba’s experience was quite different, as he struggled during his first year at Chelsea and had a generally slow start to his career.
It took Drogba approximately a year or so to truly find his footing and establish himself as a legendary figure at Chelsea.
