Victor Wanyama sends four-word response as Tottenham player’s loan spell just got worse

Victor Wanyama sends four-word response as Tottenham player’s loan spell just got worse

After the Tottenham midfielder’s loan stint at Sampdoria took a turn for the worse, Victor Wanyama posted on his Instagram account, “Get well soon pal.”

The 26-year-old left Spurs in the summer in an effort to revive his career, but he has yet to play for the Italian club.

As he posted on Instagram, he has been on the operating table rather than the training field, which will keep him out of action for the foreseeable future.

Since Mauricio Pochettino’s dismissal in 2019, the Spurs academy graduate has had difficulty breaking into Tottenham’s first team.

However, when Winks confirmed on Instagram about his surgery and time on the sidelines, he received numerous well wishes in the comments section.

Brighton defender Adam Webster told him ‘back stronger’, whilst ex-Spurs man Wanyama added ‘get well soon, pal’.

No matter what happens with Winks, he will not be playing in the midfield for Tottenham anytime soon.

Rodrigo Bentancur, who arrived in January, has demonstrated what Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, and Dele Alli ought to have produced prior to their dismissal.

If Spurs are to add to their midfield, they must do so by acquiring a creative mind, which is crucial in Antonio Conte’s system.
