‘Very dangerous’ player prefers to join Manchester United, set to snub Arsenal

‘Very dangerous’ player prefers to join Manchester United, set to snub Arsenal

According to GiveMeSport, Arsenal have been linked with Cody Gakpo, but the PSV and Netherlands international forward prefers to join Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

Today’s report claims that Gakpo, who can play on the wing or in the centre, has “already committed” to joining Manchester United during the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old, who shined for the Netherlands at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, has been pleased by his Dutch compatriot Ten Hag’s coaching tactics. Ten Hag was appointed Manchester United manager in the summer of 2022 after enjoying tremendous success with Ajax.

According to reports, the Red Devils are willing to pay £40 million in transfer fees for Gakpo.

The rumored desire of Gakpo to move to Manchester United will be a blow to Arsenal.

The Gunners are also rumored to be interested in the PSV star, who former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie characterized as “dangerous” on BT Sport (27 October, 5pm).

Due to Gabriel Jesus’s injury, Arsenal is seeking a replacement striker during the January transfer window.

The Brazil international striker was injured at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Mirror reports that Arsenal is keen on signing Gakpo during the January transfer window.

Now, the Gunners may desire the forward, but if he prefers a move to Manchester United, the Gunners may miss out.
