‘Unselfish’; Peter Crouch reveals he’d love to have played alongside Arsenal superstar

Peter Crouch stated in his podcast that he would have loved to have played alongside Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal.

The Gunners brought the Brazil international from Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.

Arsenal landed their top forward target, a proven, world-class striker in the prime of his career.

And so far this season, Jesus has scored four goals and provided three assists under Mikel Arteta.

Crouch, a cult hero in the Premier League and for the England national team, praised the newcomer for Arsenal.

The 41-year-old admires Jesus’ selflessness and believes he would have scored many goals in a front two with the Arsenal star.

In his podcast, Crouch responded when asked which striker he would most like to play with.

“I think it would be either (Roberto) Firmino or Jesus,” he said, as transcribed by Sportskeeda.

“For me they’re unselfish, players I could play with and feed off.

“They sacrifice themselves, you have to be selfish and I would be selfish in this scenario.”

Crouch also stated that, while he would have liked to play alongside Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, he does not believe the two would compliment each other.

“Playing with Haaland would be great,” he continued. “But I don’t think we’d complement each other and he’d probably score more than me!”
