Tyrell Malacia reveals what Erik ten Hag does after matches sets Manchester United manager apart
Tyrell Malacia has praised the dedication of Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.
Malacia knew Ten Hag from opposing teams in the Eredivisie, when he competed for Feyenoord against Ten Hag’s Ajax squad.
Now, having been signed by Ten Hag for Manchester United in the summer, Malacia is witnessing firsthand what made the manager so successful in his native country.
In an interview, he expresses his admiration by describing Ten Hag’s dedication to the team’s success.
Speaking to ViaPlay reported by Voetbal International, Malacia paid accolades to the Manchester United manager.
He explained that his analysis after matches, even late games, is vital to the Manchester United team’s education.
Malacia said: “He’s very detailed, he pays attention to the little dots. Developing the team every day.
“If we’ve had a late game and arrive late at the club, then when everyone has gone home, he goes to his office to check the game and have an analysis ready for us for the next day.”
“He’s always on it. He likes the game.”
In his interviews and press conference, Ten Hag comes across as Malacia describes: as a manager who enjoys the tactical battle he faces in each game and is driven by a desire to succeed.
We have witnessed Ten Hag’s constant innovation and desire to coax the best out of his players throughout the entire season, and especially in recent weeks.
Ten Hag praised Malacia’s performance as an inverted fullback who moves into the midfield when in possession.
