“Two incredible players ”- PSG playmaker Neymar clarifies why he likes Man United and Tottenham Hotspur attackers
Neymar Jr., the Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar, has praised Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho.
In an interview with the Telegraph, he was asked to name his favorites for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He identified Argentina, Brazil, Germany, France, and Spain as the top candidates for the trophy.
He forgot to mention England, and perhaps to make up for it, he chose two players from the country that he reportedly admires. One was named Kane, while the other was named Sancho.
“I really forgot about England but obviously they have a chance”, said Neymar.
“I really like (Harry) Kane and (Jadon) Sancho. They’re two incredible players and I have a special love for them because I like players that have their qualities.”
It’s not bad when a player of Neymar’s caliber compliments your skill. Neymar’s praise for Kane might lose some of its luster if Sancho’s name were mentioned.
After all, the Manchester United winger has struggled since joining the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund. However, he is excellent with the ball, and his dribbling skills are on par with the best wingers in England.
Kane, on the other hand, is likely a more popular and accomplished club and international football player. The Golden Boot winner of the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be one of the best players on display in Qatar.
Brazil and England will not meet during the World Cup, but they could meet in the knockout rounds. Kane and Neymar Jr. may then face each other for the first time in their respective professional careers.
