Tuchel is aware of the implications posed by the Chelsea VS Manchester United clash.

Published on

Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel  has insisted that he is aware that the clash between his club and the Red Devils at Stamford Bridge on Sunday has a lot of implications. Manchester United are placed second with Tuchel men in fifth with just six points separating the two teams.

Tuchel is hopeful that his team can win and that is what his team will be looking for when they meet. He acknowledges how big the challenge is going to be because his opponent is enjoying an away unbeaten run. He notes how the Manchester United style of play can hurt a team any second since it possesses the quality and speed to do so.

It is the Red Devils style of play that gives Tuchel nightmare. Ole Gunnar men can defend very compact and are very very good at making the transition. They can hurt their opponents on counter-attacks making them a very difficult team to defend against.

According to the Chelsea boss, the game has a lot of implication for both teams. If his team wins, they would reduce the gap between them to 3 points, but if their opponents win, they will increase the gap between them to 9 points.

The two managers have faced each other four times with each of them boasting two wins. This season they are meeting for the third time after Manchester United were paired together with PSG in the Uefa Champions League group stages.

Chelsea will be without Thiago Silva who is yet to return from a thigh injury. However, it is highly anticipated that the Chelsea boss will bring in Olivier Giroud after his fine display against Atletico earned his side a crucial away victory, but he admits it will be a big challenge for his team to be the first team to beat Ole Gunnar men away from home.
