The Telegraph has disclosed that there are serious concerns about Fabio Paratici’s future at Tottenham, and the club is now rushing to decide what to do next after it was revealed that the Italian’s ban has been extended globally.
In January, Juventus underwent a capital gains trial in Italy, resulting in a 15-point penalty for the Serie A club, and Paratici was given a 30-month ban from Italian football due to his involvement, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
As per Sky Sports News, FIFA has agreed to the Italian authorities’ proposal to expand the ban on the managing director of Tottenham to all leagues worldwide. This implies that unless he succeeds in his appeal on April 19, the 50-year-old will have to step down from his position at Tottenham, according to The Guardian.
Tottenham acknowledged being surprised by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee’s ruling and claimed they had not been informed about it.
As a result, The Telegraph reports that Paratici’s position at the club is now in jeopardy, and the team is working on a response to the decision.
The club was thrown into turmoil on Wednesday, and lawyers are believed to be analyzing Paratici and Tottenham’s potential courses of action.
