Tottenham boss Antonio Conte provides a funny explanation for his dismissal against Sporting Lisbon

Antonio Conte, the manager of Tottenham , provided a humorous explanation for his dismissal against Sporting Lisbon.

Kane’s late goal against Sporting Lisbon was disallowed for offside in the waning seconds of the game, preventing Tottenham from scoring a late game-winning goal.

There was a lengthy VAR review, and Conte was not pleased. The Spurs manager was shown a red card for his actions, and he has now provided an explanation.

In a game of two halves, Sporting were by much the superior team in the first half, and striker Macus Edward, who was born in Enfield, took the lead.

The Sporting sensation was on the roster from the age of eight to the age of seventeen before getting dismissed.

His goal would have meant the world to him, but it was a completely different game in the second half, with Tottenham by far the better team and eventually getting the equalizer through a Rodrigo Bentancur effort.

It was the least the Lillywhites deserved, and they believed they had won the game after Harry Kane finished a header from Emerson Royal.

Four minutes later, however, VAR determined that Kane was a yard offside and disallowed the goal, much to the dismay of the more than 40 thousand Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium spectators.

The Tottenham manager who was bouncing up and down on the touchline a minute ago got sent off and will now miss the away match against Marseille. When asked what he said to the referee to cause the red card, the Tottenham manager stated that he had done nothing wrong.

The Spurs boss told the press: β€œAt the end because all the people came on to the pitch the referee decided to send me off. Only for this.

β€œI think we are not so lucky with VAR. I think they create a lot of damage. I would like to see this type of decision with a top team, in an important game, I would like to see if VAR is brave to take this decision. This unfair decision. Sorry, but I am really upset.”

Tottenham are winless in their previous three games, but they will look to get back on track this weekend against Bournemouth in the Premier League before traveling to France for the second leg of the Champions League.
