Todd Boehly told which Chelsea signing has ‘disappointed more’ than Richarlison and Antony

Todd Boehly has received information that a Chelsea player has not performed as well as Richarlison and Antony this season.

Premier League clubs have spent more than £2.5 billion on players this season, resulting in some players impressing while others have struggled.

While players such as Erling Haaland, Casemiro, and Gabriel Jesus have made a smooth transition to their new clubs, Richarlison, Antony, and some of Chelsea’s signings have not had the same impact.

Chelsea spent approximately £270 million on Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chukwuemeka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabriel Slonina, and Denis Zakaria on loan in the summer.

In addition, Chelsea spent another £323 million on Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos, Malo Gusto, and Joao Felix on loan in January.

Fernandez and Felix have adapted well to life at Stamford Bridge, while Mudryk has faced some difficulties.

Despite showing some promising moments, the 22-year-old has had to work on his match fitness after arriving with limited playing time. Mudryk has played in six Premier League matches for Chelsea and has only been directly involved in one goal, an assist in their 3-1 victory over Leicester City.

Craig Burley was asked on ESPN about which high-profile signing has been the most disappointing this season.

He replied: “Mudryk it has to be, I’m not a big fan of Antony and Richarlison has been hot and cold; he’s not always had game time, Conte hasn’t always played him.”

Even though Mudryk has faced difficulties since his arrival at Chelsea, Ukraine caretaker manager Ruslan Rotan has expressed confidence in the winger’s ability to improve in the upcoming season.

Speaking to the press ahead of Ukraine’s Euro 2024 qualifier against England on Sunday, the 41-year-old said: “Mykhailo is a great talent and fulfilling his potential is right ahead of him.

“In a couple of months’ time he will play a key role in the Premier League. He’s one of the diamonds in our team and we cherish him. He’s very motivated to play at Wembley. He’s one of the key players. It’s very positive and we look forward to his future with great optimism.”
