Thomas Tuchel dismisses Todd Boehly’s remarks following Chelsea’s draw against Wolves

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has challenged the club’s advantage now that the ownership problem has been addressed.

According to football.london, in his post-match press conference, Thomas Tuchel dismissed the allegation that Chelsea had an advantage due to the Todd Boehly group’s takeover.

Tuchel was speaking to the media shortly after his team blew a two-goal lead against Wolves on Saturday.

Despite Romelu Lukaku’s second-half double, Conor Coady equalised in the 97th minute to stun the west Londoners in front of new owner Todd Boehly at Stamford Bridge.

Since the beginning of April, Chelsea has only won two Premier League games.

Tuchel has maintained that the new owner’s acquisition had no impact on the performance of his club.

He believes that the current Chelsea form must be addressed inside. We could be in for a tense season finale unless things change quickly.

“I don’t think ownership is a reason for lack of focus. We showed when the situation began that we can still focus,”

“I would not consider this as an advantage for Leeds. It does not change much for us as the sanctions are not lifted. It’s not worth thinking about, we have our own stuff to solve and make better.”

If Chelsea had hung on to their lead and gained three points, the ‘advantage’ claim could have been more persuasive. But it didn’t appear that way, as they dropped two critical points with seconds remaining.

We had a notion going into this game that the official announcement of the ownership saga’s completion would lift the players and squad. And it appeared like everything was going well for the Blues, who had more possession in the first half and two quick goals from Lukaku to start the second half.

Chelsea, on the other hand, had to settle for a point as the wolves equalised in extra time seconds before the final whistle, making it 2-1 in the 79th minute.

This put an end to any sense of superiority and forced them to consider the genuine issues that needed to be addressed within the group.
