After winning a treble at Bayern last season, Alcantara decided to team up with Klopp at Liverpool.
Thiago Alcantara’s career breakthrough came in 2009 when he was given his big Barcelona break by Guardiola. He later reunited with Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich in 2013.
The Spaniard has now revealed what differentiates the Guardiolls and Klopp having worked with both of them.
Thiago said:

While responding to an interview with ESPN, he added:
“I will always speak positive things in an open way. What sets these two coaches apart is the idea of having a game methodology and knowing how to pass it on to the players,”
“The players, in addition to listening and having that respect, do what the coach wants. This was the most important part of the stage that I lived with Guardiola and that I am living with Klopp.”
Thiago is in his first season with the Reds, and although Liverpool have not enjoyed a good run this season, they could yet secure Champions League football for next season.
The former Barcelona and Bayern player had a tough start to his career at Anfield, with him first testing positive for Covid-19, and then his misery summed up with a nasty injury from a rash challenge by Everton’s Richarlison during his second game with the Reds.
Despite the Liverpool struggles, The 30 years old has become a key component of the team with his passing and distribution, but Klopp men haven’t quite clicked fully as a unit.
Liverpool fans will however be hopeful that Thiago can inspire the team to a turnaround crucial win in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid at Anfield on Wednesday after the first leg result saw them trail 3-1.
