‘They didn’t’: Antonio Conte makes unprompted Arsenal comments after Tottenham beat Fulham

Antonio Conte, head coach of Tottenham,  stated on Sky Sports Premier League that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are the only team in the Premier League this season that has not experienced adversity.

Conte made the unprompted remarks about Arsenal after Tottenham’s Premier League victory over Fulham on Monday evening.

After the London derby, the Tottenham manager was asked by Sky Sports about the difficult period he and his team are experiencing.

Conte replied: “It’s normal during the season every team (goes through a difficult period).

“Maybe in this season only Arsenal, they didn’t have a difficult period. They were out of the Carabao (Cup), I think, but otherwise they are all in competitions that they are playing.”

According to Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte, Arsenal have not experienced a particularly difficult stretch.

Moreover, this is a compliment to the Gunners.

Arsenal did not perform well in the Carabao Cup, but they still have a chance to win the FA Cup and are in the UEFA Europa League.

Moreover, the Gunners are currently leading the Premier League table and could win the championship this year.

This past weekend, Arsenal defeated Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in league play.

The manner in which the Gunners played and scored a late goal to defeat the Red Devils demonstrated their tenacity and desire for victory.

Arsenal should not become overconfident, as there is still much football to be played this season, but the North London club should be confident and optimistic.
