‘There’s very little Arsenal can do’: Liverpool want ‘unplayable’ Gunners youngster now – journalist
Tom Canton, a journalist from Football London, discussed Ethan Nwaneri’s future at Arsenal on The Gooner Talk YouTube channel.
The 15-year-old midfielder has become well-known this season for being the youngest player in Premier League history.
Arsenal has high expectations for Nwaneri, who is considered an “unplayable” midfielder.
However, it will be difficult for Arsenal to keep him as Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea are all interested in him.
Canton stated that if another team offers Nwaneri a better deal than what Arsenal can currently provide, there’s very little Arsenal can do to keep him.
Liverpool in for Nwaneri
The journalist shared what he knows about the teenager.
“We still don’t know if the youngster will be committing his future to Arsenal. Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and a number of other clubs are all interested in the youngster who became the youngest Premier League player ever against Brentford in that game earlier this season,” Canton said.
“Arsenal have done everything they can to try and keep Ethan Nwaneri at the club by giving him opportunities. Arsenal have done everything but if there are better offers from elsewhere there is very little Arsenal can do and they can only hope he’ll keep faith in the team that have given him these opportunities and development throughout his younger years.”
At a young age, Nwaneri appears to have a bright future ahead of him, but it is crucial for him to make the correct decision regarding his next career move. Currently, his top options seem to be either remaining at Arsenal or transferring to Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta has already displayed confidence in him at Arsenal, and Jurgen Klopp has a reputation for offering opportunities to gifted young players, as seen with Harvey Elliott.
