The free agents Tottenham can still sign after deadline day to boost top four chances
The conclusion of the January transfer window does not put an end to the discussion of incoming and outgoing players. Nearing the beginning of the next phase of the conversation.
At this point, the speaking must cease and the performance must take center stage. Towards the end of the transfer window, Tottenham transfer dealings improved, which led to an improvement in results.
In the final week of the transfer window, Arnaut Danjua and Pedro Porro joined the club, with the latter joining on transfer deadline day, which proved to be a dramatic turn of events.
Even though the transfer window closed on Tuesday evening, Spurs still have the opportunity to sign free agents. Although no new transfers can be registered for contracted players, free agents are permitted to switch clubs at any time of year.
SportsDias examines the options Antonio Conte can pursue.
Isco
The former Real Madrid and Malaga star is now 30 and unemployed after leaving Sevilla in December.
His transfer to Union Berlin fell through near the end of the transfer window, making him available for free transfer.
He may yet be a player of note at the highest level. With his undeniable ball control and touch, Isco may be able to supplement Antonio Conte’s team’s current lack of creativity in the middle of the field.
SimeVrsaljko
In 2017, he was one of the most sought-after players in the Premier League and was linked to a move to north London.
He excelled as a disciplined fullback for Atletico Madrid and went on to play a pivotal role in Croatia’s 2018 World Cup run.
A month ago, he was no longer under contract with Olympiacos, which he joined after a series of loan moves.
Considering the departures of Matt Doherty and Djed Spence on transfer deadline day, he could be an option to bolster Conte’s options, but it seems unlikely given Porro’s arrival.
