‘That’s It Now’ – Pundit predicts Man United to sack Solskjaer following ‘Dreaded’ development

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has received the “dreaded vote of confidence” and may be fired when Manchester United appoints a new CEO.

Paddy Kenny, an ex-Premier League goalkeeper, spoke exclusively to Football Insider about the latest developments at Old Trafford.

Man United chief executive Ed Woodward insisted on 3 October that the club is “firmly committed” to Solsjkaer, according to The Mirror.

However, Woodward is set to step down at the end of the year, and managing director Richard Arnold is widely expected to take his place.

United are currently fourth in the Premier League table, but they have only won one of their last four games in all competitions.

In their next four league games, they will face Leicester City, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester City.

And Kenny insists that Solskjaer’s position is far from secure.

“He’s got that dreaded vote of confidence now,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.

“They said it was a three-year project and now, with the players that they’ve signed, it’s time to produce.

“Solskjaer is expected to produce this season and win a trophy. If that doesn’t happen, I can’t see him staying there beyond this season.

“With a new chief exec coming in, that’s only going to put him under more pressure to win games. He could go at any time.

“If they aren’t doing that and the new chief exec doesn’t take a shine to him, I can see a change coming.

“They would have blown Everton and Aston Villa away back in the day and be three or four points clear at the top now.

“If they had Guardiola or Klopp, they would challenge massively.“
