Supercomputer predicts final Premier League table of season battle for top four and League title hots up

Arsenal will beat Manchester United to fourth place and a place in the Champions League next season, according to a supercomputer.

The Red Devils, along with West Ham United, are currently vying for fourth place with the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta’s men currently have three games in hand on Manchester United, which a supercomputer predicts the north Londoners will win in order to overtake Ralf Rangnick’s men.

If Arsenal overtakes Manchester United in fourth place, they will end their five-season absence from the top four.

To make matters worse for United, the computer predicts that Manchester City will retain the Premier League trophy.

A fifth-place finish would be disastrous for the Red Devils, who are hoping to bring in a big-name manager to replace the sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this summer.

Tottenham and West Ham, United’s fellow Champions League contenders, are expected to finish sixth and seventh, respectively.

How the supercomputer predicts the season will finish

The supercomputer’s predictions are bleak for relegation candidates Burnley, Watford, and Norwich.

The struggling trio are expected to finish in 18th, 19th, and 20th place, respectively, in their respective attempts to avoid the drop.

Newcastle United, who are currently four points above the relegation zone, are predicted to finish 15th by the algorithm.

Toon fans will be hoping that prediction comes true so that Eddie Howe, who is backed by Saudi Arabia, can spend big money on marquee signings this summer.

The Premier League returns to action on Wednesday, with Leeds’ trip to Anfield to face Liverpool being the most anticipated of the three games.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, who are chasing a top-four finish, will host Wolves the following evening at the Emirates.

And, in one of the day’s six scheduled matches, managerless United will host Watford the following afternoon.
