“Straight to the top” – Team mate declares Chelsea star could be ‘England captain’ one day
Chelsea has a plethora of talented young players coming through the ranks, some of whom are further along in their development than others.
Of course, loan moves frequently make or break players, and there have been several highly successful loans this season.
Levi Colwill, who has been at Huddersfield Town all season in the Championship, which is a very difficult league to play in, is a player who fits the bill.
But he hasn’t just held his own; he’s had a fantastic season and is making great strides. Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel, and Colwill himself will now have to make a crucial decision this summer about his next move.
Lee Nicholls, Colwill’s Huddersfield teammate, is a player who has been playing and training with him all season and is therefore more qualified than others to pass judgement on him.
Colwill, according to the goalkeeper, is on his way to the top.
“Levi will go the whole way, I feel like he will go straight to the top,” Nicholls said at Wembley as reported by Goal. “I feel like he could even become England captain if he wanted to be.”
