Stellini confirms Antonio Conte’s return date after Tottenham’s defeat to Wolves

The assistant manager of Tottenham , Cristian Stellini, has confirmed that their head coach, Antonio Conte, will return for the team’s upcoming match following a surprising 1-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers on March 4th.

Despite Stellini’s impressive performance in Conte’s absence, including notable victories such as against Manchester City last month, the team acknowledges that their poor performance against Wolves cannot be solely attributed to Conte’s absence and that they may require more passion and strategic thinking on the touchline.

While acknowledging Stellini’s contributions, it is important to recognize that as the head coach, Antonio Conte is ultimately responsible for winning games and is well-compensated for that purpose.

Stellini stated in a post-match interview (reported by Football.London) that Conte will be rejoining the team on March 5th.

“Antonio will be a massive boost for us from tomorrow until the end of the season. It is important that Antonio is back. We want to have him back with a different result but the team show to Antonio it is alive. They want to win, they want to control the game, they want to dominate the game and this is important I think.”

Conte had been absent from the team for several weeks due to his recovery from gallbladder surgery, and the team is happy to have him back.

Despite his rigorous training style, it is likely that the players missed his leadership. The team’s next game against AC Milan in N17 is crucial and could have a significant impact on their season.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round-of-16 tie against AC Milan at San Siro.

With Conte’s extensive experience and knowledge of I Rossoneri from his time at Inter Milan, it is hoped that he will draw upon this information to strategize and lead the team to a more favorable result in the next leg.
