Spurs Transfer News: “For sure”- Bayern director issues fresh Harry Kane verdict amidst links to Tottenham star
According to the Express, Bayern Munich has been linked to Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane and may attempt to sign him in 2023 after losing Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona this summer.
Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic both expressed interest in Kane during the summer of 2018.
Even Tottenham manager Antonio Conte was irritated by this, stating that it is ‘disrespectful’ to discuss players from other clubs.
It appears that Bayern’s leader has gotten the message.
According to comments conveyed to the German news outlet Bild (via Fabrizio Romano), Salihamidzic stated:
“For sure Kane is a top player in the world, but we don’t talk about players under contract at other clubs. I’m sure that Mathys Tel will also show what he can do this season.”

There is so much speculation surrounding a potential transfer that Kane was asked about their interest in him.
The England international responded before our 3-2 home victory over Eintracht Frankfurt (h/t the Athletic):
“For sure Bayern are a top, top club, but all my concentration is on Tottenham and trying to win tomorrow night.”
Less than two years remain on Kane’s current contract. In the summer of 2024, he could become a free agent if he does not sign a new contract with Spurs or if Spurs bind him to his existing contract.
However, Kane is currently at a crossroads. If he wants to take it easy and win a few domestic championships, a move to Bayern could help him achieve those goals.
If that is the case and he does not wish to remain with Spurs, it would be in club’s best interest to sell him as soon as possible. However, this should be their final option.
