Some Arsenal fans on social media are considerably wretched after it was proclaimed that Mikel Arteta sees Ben White as a future captain of Arsenal.
Arteta apparently believes that White has what it takes to be a leader at Arsenal for years to come, but the fanbase doesn’t really see it this way.
Now, supporters weren’t saying that White isn’t good enough or that he doesn’t have the right mindset, but in Gunners supporters’ view, there is already a better candidate at the club.
Indeed, fans have been charging for Kieran Tierney to become the next captain, and they think that White shouldn’t even be in the discussion due to how fitting Tierney is for the role.
Arteta looks to have dispositions to give White the armband one day, and at the moment Arsenal fans aren’t happy with that.

Of course, White could swiftly change their minds once he signs for the club, but right now, Gunners followers aren’t best pleased with this concept.
