Solskjaer shares what he uncovered from his encounter of 1999 final ahead of the Villarreal meeting.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shared what he learned from his experience of the 1999 Champions League final as Manchester United take on Villarreal in the Europa League final.
Solskjaer scored arguably the most iconic goal in the Red Devils’ tale after coming off the bench to net a stoppage-time winner against Bayern Munich to crown the club champions of Europe, with tomorrow’s final with Villarreal coming exactly 22 years since that match-winning moment.
The Norwegian now has the chance to win his first major trophy for United as a boss, as the club plans for their meeting with the Spanish side in Gdańsk.

United are aspiring to win the Europa League for a second time, with their most recent silverware success coming as part of a League Cup and Europa League double during the 2016/17 season.
Solskjaer has now opened up on his reality of playing in major finals ahead of the clash, asserting he will acquaint his squad that they all may have a part to play in the Red Devils’ bid for success.
“What did I learn? Trust your team, trust your gut instinct, I’ll tell the subs that aren’t starting that they might have to play a big part from us. It’s happened before,” Solskjaer told his pre-match press conference.
“Be disappointed, be angry with me, but be ready when you come, and whoever starts, make sure you enjoy it because you don’t play too many finals in your life.”
