Sir Alex Ferguson full of praise for particular Arsenal and Liverpool players.

The former Manchester United coach has described Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney as an “absolutely fantastic” with Ferguson becking him to be a key man for Scotland
Kieran Tierney is in line to feature for Scotland at the European Championships, but it depends on if he recovers from a knee injury in time, with the Tartan Army preparing to play at a major tournament for the first time in 23 years.
The Arsenal full-back has been sidelined since Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat against Liverpool, with the initial prognosis suggesting that the Scott could be out for around eight weeks, but it is now expected that he could be fit before the end of the season and be available for the European Championships.
And Manchester Legendary coach believes he could be an important player for Steve Clarke as the former Celtic man looks to try and secure his place in the Scotland team for the tournament.
Tierney has been a regular starter for his side in recent internationals, and often playing as part of a back three together with Liverpool defender Andy Robertson who has been playing as a left wing-back in a 3-5-2 formation.
But Ferguson has praised both players as he named them as key men for Clarke and the way he sets up his side.
While speaking to the official YouTube channel of the Scotland national team ahead of the summer tournament.Ferguson said:
“I am optimistic,
“Players that are playing in England – [Kieran] Tierney has been absolutely fantastic at Arsenal, absolutely fantastic, [Andy] Robertson the last two years at Liverpool has been unbelievable.”
Ferguson’s comments echo the view of Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta, who has also been full of praise for the impact Tierney has had with the Gunners since joining from Celtic in the summer of 2019.
It seems Ferguson has been an admirer of Both Tierney and Robertson with his previous comments about the two showing his admiration.

Back in January, Ferguson said on the Lockdown Theatre:
‘I do think Scotland have some very good midfield players, and I’m not sure how they’re gonna play Andy Robertson and Tierney in the same team,’
‘I know there were some situations where they played Tierney as the third centre-back, but the form of Tierney since he’s gone to Arsenal has been phenomenal. ‘Robertson’s career at Liverpool has just got bigger and bigger.’
Speaking earlier this year, Arteta said:
“The right words to describe Kieran [Tierney] would be determination, passion and energy – that’s what is he about.
“He is determined in every action, and puts it all into every game and the energy levels he provides to the team.
“He gives us something different on that left side and scored a great goal [against Benfica].”
Tierney has made 41 appearances for club and country this season, with the 23-year-old establishing himself as a key man for Arsenal and Scotland ahead of a big summer.
