Mason Greenwood, Manchester United attacker, was seen outside the Langham Hotel in London with his partner who is pregnant.
As per The Sun, the 21-year-old intends to wed her and has already informed his family about his intentions.
Greenwood and his partner are expecting their first child together. However, in January 2022, the footballer was accused of attempted rape and assault by his partner, after a distressing video of her went viral on social media.
After being summoned to appear before the magistrates, he was instructed to stand trial later this year.
However, due to several witnesses’ refusal to cooperate, the Crown Prosecution Service decided to withdraw the charges.
As a result of the incident, Manchester United confirmed that they would be carrying out an internal investigation into the matter.
“The Sun revealed he has spoken to manager Erik ten Hag and met with club officials — but his future at the club remains unclear.”
Greenwood’s multi-million-pound boot contract with Nike has already been terminated by the company. Additionally, EA Sports has removed him from their video game FIFA 22. It remains to be seen how Manchester United will handle this situation.
