‘Sent me to the shops’ – Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale makes claim about Liverpool star

Aaron Ramsdale, goalkeeper for Arsenal, has named the Liverpool player who once ‘sent him to the shops.’

The Reds have faced Arsenal four times this season, twice in the Premier League and twice in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

Liverpool won 8-0 on aggregate in those four games.

Ramsdale was speaking on Sky Sports’ ‘Never Have I Ever’ feature when he was questioned about the times he had been ‘rinsed’ by an opposing player.

In this context, ‘rinsed’ refers to being severely beaten or humiliated.

After the break, Jota opened the score for the Reds with a low attempt that Ramsdale couldn’t keep out at the near post.

Before mentioning a Liverpool player, he mentioned Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Aguero, and Jamie Vardy on his list.

The other player on Ramsdale’s list is Diogo Jota.

Ramsdale just stated, : “Jota, he sent me to the shops, didn’t he.”  when asked about Jota.

The strike in the Gunners’ recent 2-0 win at the Emirate Stadium was the one the goalkeeper was referring to.

Liverpool won quite easily earlier this month, but they had a rough start in the first half.

After the break, Jota opened the score for the Reds with a low attempt that Ramsdale couldn’t keep out at the near post.

The game’s other goal was scored by Roberto Firmino.

Back in January, Jota scored both goals in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final. He also scored in the 4-0 Premier League victory in November.
