Chelsea have yet to make their transfer moves as Man City close in on Jack Grealish
According to a number of sources, including The Sun, Manchester City are edging closer to agreeing a £100 million deal for the tricky midfielder.
Villa remain adamant that they will not sell the player, however the report suggests that the player’s representatives are now, after weeks of talks, confident that he will be allowed to leave once the Euros are over.
Grealish still has four years left on his current contract with his boyhood club, meaning that City will have to pay a premium to persuade Villa to part ways with their captain.
The news comes just days after it was reported that City had lodged an equal bid for Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
The Citizens have delayed making an official offer while the player is on England duty, but it is believed that a deal could be completed soon after he returns.
Villa have already signed Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia, a player who many fans perceived to be a replacement for the outgoing Grealish.

They say that City would sign the 24-year-old as a City Football Group signing, loaning him out to newly-promoted Troyes in France. The report adds that Almeria are expecting an offer from City soon.
It’s suggested Sadiq would be considered for a first team role at City following this loan spell in Ligue 1. The striker has a release clause reported to be set at €60m , but Almeria would accept an offer of €30m for their prized asset.
Juventus are still planning to press ahead with a potential move for Gabriel Jesus, regardless of Cristiano Ronaldo’s future
Corriere dello Sport say selling Ronaldo would help Max Allegri’s transfer plans this summer, but should the Portuguese star stay then Juventus would want a new striker to join their ranks regardless.
Jesus has been mentioned as a potential Juve target all summer, while former City striker Edin Dzeko is another player on the Italians’ radar.
It’s suggested that Jesus would require a large transfer fee to persuade City to part with their only current striker.
