Chelsea have been linked with a move for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane throughout the summer.

The French centre-back is out of contract at the Santiago Bernabeu next season which could tempt Los Blancos into selling.

It was reported that Thomas Tuchel’s men could potentially put together a swap deal in an effort to bring Varane to Stamford Bridge.

However, reports suggest that Real are not interested in swaps and instead want just cash.

But Varane now wants a change in the shape of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils.

Rangers are plotting a sensational reunion with Billy Gilmour.

In a recent report, the Daily Record (as cited by Glasgow Live) has claimed that Rangers are plotting a sensational reunion with Billy Gilmour. The Chelsea youngster has been impressive for both club and country and is now gearing up for more first-team minutes, having grabbed the attention already.

The 20-year-old midfield prodigy left Ibrox four years ago to join the Blues’ esteemed academy ranks and made his first-team debut under Frank Lampard a couple of years later. His performance against Liverpool in a FA Cup fixture received massive plaudits last year and the Scotsman eventually gained Thomas Tuchel’s trust who replaced Lampard midway through the previous term.

While Norwich City are closing in on securing his services on a season-long loan, Rangers are set to make a last-ditch attempt to bring Billy Gilmour back in familiar surroundings. The Canaries have Premier Lague football to offer week in week out, but the Bears’ opportunity to make it through to the main round of the prestigious Champions League might make the race more intriguing. The profile of European football would help him grow his game under Steven Gerrard.

Hull City have signed goalkeeper Nathan Baxter on a season-long loan from Premier League side Chelsea.

The 22-year-old came through Chelsea’s youth system and has had spells on loan with Solihull Moors, Woking, Yeovil, Ross County and Accrington Stanley.

“Nathan’s been our number one target and he made it clear to me that Hull was where he wanted to come,” boss Grant McCann told the club website.

“He’s had a great upbringing and has progressed with each loan he’s had.”

Chelsea are prioritising the signing of Erling Haaland as owner Roman Abramovic has outlined the Norwegian as his statement transfer signing this summer.

According to reputed Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Chelsea are set to chase Erling Haaland and table a new offer to Borussia Dortmund for the Norwegian striker. The importance of signing the Bundesliga goal machine has grown in the Chelsea boardroom as owner Roman Abramovich is set to oversee the transfer personally.

A handful of clubs registering their interest and are ready to pay a premium price for the Norwegian this summer rather than wait until the next one. These select clubs are thought to be Manchester City, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea.

However, it is Chelsea who have managed to get ahead in the queue and are hopeful of completing this mega transfer. The London club are looking to build on their Champions League success from last season and go one better in the Premier League this upcoming season.

AC Milan Planning Triple Swoop For A Striker, Attacking and Defensive Midfielder From Chelsea

Gianluca di Marzio via MilanNews.it are reporting that AC Milan will work on a triple deal with Chelsea FC to sign Olivier Giroud for the attack, Hakim Ziyech to replace Hakan Calhanoglu at attacking midfield and Tiemoue Bakayoko to be the fourth midfielder replacing Soualiho Meite this summer. Giroud is expected to arrive for free, Ziyech will command a large transfer fee and Bakayoko could come a cut rate given his contract expires in a year.

Tutto Mercato Web are reporting that Milan will look to get a package deal on the three players hence are negotiating as one massive deal to boost the chances of pushing this through. The relations between the two clubs are good considering the deal for Fikayo Tomori getting through successfully.

Sky Italia via MilanNews.it and MilanNews.it are confirming the same reports. Each of the players would add experience to their positions. Giroud and Bakayoko would be back up players but Ziyech would be a starter.

Financial problems could put an end to Napoli’s pursuit of Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri.

I Partenopei have been pursuing the Italian ever since the summer began but they are still nowhere near agreeing on a deal with the European champions.

La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that in order for Chelsea to allow the player to go out on loan this summer, he must first sign a new deal as his current one runs out in 2022. This applies even if the loan includes an obligation to buy.

The other problem that is facing Luciano Spalletti’s side is that Emerson Palmieri currently earns €4.6 million a season at the West London club, which is a salary that Napoli cannot match.

This means any loan move would likely require Chelsea to pay a percentage of the Italian international’s wages.

Chelsea target set to sign new contract to remain with German giants

The perennial German champions’ addition of Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig seemed to have made Sule surplus to requirements – at least if you believed the rumours.

The reality is turning out quite differently, however. Goal.com are reporting information from Bild that the former Hoffenheim defender is going to sign a new contract, rather than leaving.

In reality, we didn’t see this move as a real prospect in any case, and it seems likely his agent was leaking information just to pressure Bayern into a better contract offer.

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has completed a loan move to Huddersfield Town for the season to come after signing a new contract at Chelsea.

The centre back has looked excellent in the youth teams for years now, and this season in particular looked to have raised his profile significantly and convinced teams in the second tier he’s ready to start senior football at that level.

Chelsea Still In Race To Sign PSG Target Achraf Hakimi From Inter, Italian Media Claim

his according to today’s print edition of Tuttosport, who report that the London club could be back in the running with offers that include the likes of Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri.

In recent days it is thought that PSG have become firm favourites for Hakimi’s signature, with the club’s offer to the Nerazzurri approaching Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio’s demand for €70 million in cash, with that figure being reached when all add-ons in the deal are included.

However, Chelsea are still thought to be keeping their pursuit of the player alive, with offers including players going the other way still their strategy to persuade Inter to deal with them over the Parisians.

The Blues have offered both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri as part of a deal, with the valuation of those players intended to bring the total value of a deal to an amount that the Nerazzurri are happy with.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea’s approach will have any success, but for now they could still beat PSG to Hakimi’s signature despite clear signs that the French club intend to close the deal.
