Arsenal ‘hopeful’ of deal to sign Ben White

Arsenal are “hopeful” of being able to conclude a deal to sign Ben White from Brighton and Hove Albion this summer, according to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The 23-year-old, who is currently on international duty with England at Euro 2020, made 36 appearances in the Premier League for Brighton last season as they ended up in 16th place in the table.

Arsenal are widely reported to be in talks to sign White this summer to bolster their options at the back, and reporter Sheth has now delivered the latest update on the Gunners’ pursuit of the centre-half.

Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a handful of new signings this summer as the Gunners look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.

Kieran Tierney agrees bumper new long-term Arsenal deal thought to be worth £110,000 per-week

Former Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has officially agreed a new contract with Arsenal reportedly worth a whopping £110,000 per week.

Tierney has been linked with Manchester City recently, but the 24-year-old has now put pen-to-paper on a new long-term deal with the Gunners, as the north London club confirmed via their official website.

Arsenal haven’t revealed how much Tierney will make, however, the Guardian are reporting that Tierney has agreed a new five-year contract at the Emirates, and he’ll stand to pocket almost £29million between now and the summer of 2026.

Paris Saint-Germain joins Arsenal and Tottenham to enquire about Lazio attacker Joaquin Correa.

Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà has reported that Paris Saint-Germain are the latest club to enquire about Lazio attacker Joaquin Correa.

Although there has been interest in the player from Premier League sides West Ham, Everton, Arsenal and Tottenham, no official offer has been made thus far. As a result, the Ligue 1 side are set to try and make a move for the Argentina international to reinforce their attack.

As it stands, Lazio are requesting a fee of around €40 million for the Argentine as they are looking to use his sale to fund several transfers to rejuvenate the squad for Sarri ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

Two important figures in this potential deal are Correa’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, and PSG Sporting Director, Leonardo. In addition to following the performances of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – of which he is a huge fan – the Brazilian has also been monitoring the 26-year-old attacker.

Arsenal willing to accept Amadou Diawara in a swap deal for Granit Xhaka

According to Ilromanista, there have been some developments in the Granit Xhaka to AS Roma deal. The publication reckons Roma could include Amadou Diawara in the agreement to bring Granit Xhaka. How much of an impact Diawara’s inclusion has on the transfer fee remains to be seen, but the report believes this could be key to closing the transfer.

Roma and Arsenal have been locked in talks regarding Xhaka for well over a month. The price tag has been the sticking point so far, with both clubs disagreeing on a figure. Arsenal want between €20-25 million, but Roma are adamant about not wanting to pay more than €15 million.

Diawara could replace Torreira in the squad or Mohamed Elneny, who could also depart. However, with Arteta looking for a utility midfielder, the Roma ace could do the trick. Arsenal might be inclined to accept €15 million plus the player in exchange for Xhaka to join Roma.

Arsenal face Atalanta competition for Albert Sambi Lokonga

Arsenal’s steady pursuit of Albert Sambi Lokonga could be up for a twist. According to Calciomercato, the Gunners’ pursuit of the Belgian midfielder could be challenged by Atalanta, who are looking to bolster their options next season.

Albert Sambi Lokonga has been linked with the Gunners for the duration of this window, but Atalanta could now challenge them in their pursuit. Arsenal were quoted €20 million for the young midfielder, and the north London giants already seem to have agreed to personal terms.

Arsenal set to miss out on signing of Sassuolo’s midfielder Manuel Locatelli

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal are ready to launch an offer for the 23-year-old.

However, the same outlet also reports that Juventus are close to completing the signing of the player, potentially on a two-year loan deal.

Sassuolo had reportedly wanted £34 million for the midfielder, who scored twice during Italy’s 3-0 victory over Switzerland on match day two.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also both rumoured to be interested in the player, and both sides have the ability to fund the transfer immediately.

Arsenal, meanwhile, may have a disadvantage compared to their rivals as they do not have the added incentive of European football next season.

With Italy showing no signs of exiting the competition any time soon, clubs may have to wait to get their hands on Locatelli.

Arsenal handed a transfer blow in their bid to get rid of Hector Bellerin this summer.

The Gunners remain keen on reshaping their squad and selling Bellerin is one way for them to raise funds for their other transfer targets.

e has been linked with a move to clubs like Barcelona and PSG in the last few transfer windows.

He emerged as a target for Inter Milan in this transfer window as the Italians look to replace Achraf Hakimi, who is on his way out of the club.

Bellerin is one of the few fullbacks who can replace the Moroccan, but a new report from Gazzetta dello Sport via Sempre Milan claims Inter’s new manager, Simone Inzaghi, has another target in mind.

The report says he is looking to raid his former club, Lazio, to bring Manuel Lazzari to the San Siro.

This would serve as an early transfer blow to Arsenal’s plans of raising money for their own transfer targets.

Hakimi is reportedly moving to PSG which means two of Bellerin’s suitors are already out of the running for his signature.

Arsenal are now planning to extend another player’s contract until 2026

Romano has claimed that the Gunners are planning to tie Emile Smith Rowe down to a contract until 2026.

Smith Rowe is one of the best players to graduate from the Hale End setup in recent years.

Alongside Bukayo Saka, the 20-year-old playmaker has cemented his place in Arteta’s starting XI.

Smith Rowe had to bide his time at the Emirates Stadium, with just two Premier League appearances prior to last Christmas.

However, Arteta finally named him in the starting XI against Chelsea on Boxing Day – his full Premier League debut – and the rest is history.

Smith Rowe has made 45 senior appearances for Arsenal, of which 33 came last season, and has registered seven goals and seven assists

Rob Holding is claimed to be a likely departure from Arsenal

Rob Holding is claimed to be a likely departure from Arsenal, with the likes of William Saliba and Ben White set to battle it out for first-team minutes.

Despite Holding’s record, he did end the season as back-up to Luiz, and it wouldn’t be inconceivable to image him falling down the pecking order this term, especially with both Saliba and White tipped to join the playing squad.

The English centre-back only signed a new three-and-a-half year deal back in January, to tie him to the club until the summer of 2024, whiich seemingly appeared to be a reward for his consistent performances.
