It has been confirmed that the Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos will miss both home and away Champions League Quatre final fixtures against Liverpool after suffering a calf injury while on international duty.
With the extent of his injury yet to be made to the public, Real Madrid confirmed this sad news in a statement that read:
“Following tests carried out today on our captain Sergio Ramos by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the inner calf of his left leg,”
Ramos will also miss the Elclassico clash, and his absence will be a big blow to the Zidane team. Real Madrid welcomes Liverpool before playing against Barcelona who are among the title contenders battling to topple Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid.
Sergio just played for four minutes in Spain 3-1 win against Kosovo in the World Read Cup qualifier tournament. Many fans had anticipated witnessing a rematch between Salah and Ramos after the Spaniard found himself on the receiving end of criticism after he ended Salah’s Champions League participation early in the 2018 Champions League competition.

Ramos took on Instagram to air out his disappointment stating that he “has had a rough couple of weeks”.
“Yesterday, after the game, I stayed in training on the pitch and noticed a puncture on the left twin. Got tested today, and it’s confirmed that I have a muscle injury,” he said. “If there is something that hurts me is not being able to help the team in these games of maximum demand and not being able to give something on the pitch,”
Interestingly, Salah has been linked with a move to Real Madrid with his latest response to staying at Anfield suggesting he is keen to look for a new adventure elsewhere.
