Sad! Moussa Dembele collapses while in training.

Former Celtic and Fulham striker Moussa Dembele is undergoing close monitoring after he collapsed in training with Spanish club Atletico Madrid . Too sad!

The French international is on a loan spell from Lyon. He fainted during the stretching exercise. His teammates rushed to his aid as he was quickly put into the recovery position as medical staff assessed his condition.

A stretcher was brought in from a nearby ambulance, but the former Celtic favorite regained consciousness and was able to walk off the pitch on his own steam.

A “slight drop in blood pressure” could be the cause as reported by Spanish publication Marca. Atletico insisted that he is under “observation and has absolutely normal vital signs” Dembele’s condition will now be closely monitored as he is already scheduled to undergo tests with Atletico Madrid medical team.

Dembele has not made any start for Atletico Madrid ever since he arrived from Lyon, with the player yet to register his first goal for the Spanish giants. However, the Lyon man is keen to find his form.

Atletico Madrid are four points clear on top of the La Liga table, with both Barcelona and Real Madrid pilling pressure.

Atletico have a chance of sealing the player Permanent deal with Diego Simione, the Atletico manager recently retaliating that he hoping to see ‘what he hoped for’ from Moussa Dembele.

Simeone said: “I always say that the number of minutes is not important. “What matters is the quality of these minutes.
“I hope that Dembele can bring us what we hoped for when he arrived in the team.”

Dembele’s arrival at Atletico saw him struggle after injuries and the Covid 19 situation after he tested positive last month. He has made just four appearances for Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid , with all coming from the bench.
