Sacked World Cup boss admits he wants club appointment amid bizarre Tottenham Hotspur rumour

Sacked World Cup boss admits he wants club appointment amid bizarre Tottenham Hotspur rumour

Luis Enrique has revealed that he wishes to return to club management amid unexpected rumors of a transfer to Tottenham.

During the World Cup, Enrique has made a name for himself on Twitch, and the news concerning his future was transmitted via streaming.

Enrique streamed with Ibai Llanos on Monday night following the confirmation of his resignation as Spain manager.

Enrique acknowledged, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, that he intends to return to club management in his next position.

Enrique has worldwide management expertise and believes he is prepared to return to the domestic scene.

Enrique did get offers during his tenure as Spain’s manager, but he chose to remain faithful to La Roja.

Following Spain’s elimination from the World Cup in the round of 16, at the hands of Morocco, Enrique lost his position as manager.

Spain played beautiful and sophisticated football, but lacked the killer instinct to defeat a determined Morocco side.

Enrique’s departure is somewhat abrupt, although he has already been linked to a club role with Tottenham Hotspur.

Now, we know what you’re thinking: Tottenham has Antonio Conte, thus they don’t need a manager right now.

However, CMW in Italy, a dubious source at the best of times, claims that Tottenham are considering Enrique to replace Conte if the latter decides to quit Spurs.

We can see why Enrique is attractive.

The 52-year-old plays excellent football and has won the Champions League, two league titles, and two Copa del Rey championships with Barcelona.

Enrique is a quality manager and should be on the radar of any big Premier League club seeking a manager.

However, we do not anticipate Conte departing Tottenham anytime soon.

The Italian appears content at Tottenham, and the rumors about his departure from Spurs are, to be honest, becoming quite tiresome.

Possibly Enrique is a name to watch, but we can envision other clubs making approaches to him before Tottenham needs a new manager.
