Sacked Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel ‘could be back management by October’ in a European powerhouse

Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel may return to management in October.

The German, who was fired by the Blues earlier this month due to a sluggish start to the season, has been linked to a return to his own country with Bayern Munich.

Bild asserts that Tuchel is the guy to whom the Bundesliga heavyweights will turn if current coach Julian Nagelsmann is fired.

The Bavarians have started the season terribly, and their 1-0 loss to Augsburg over the weekend extended their winless streak to four league games.

Reportedly, if results don’t improve quickly, Bayern will turn to Tuchel, the former Borussia Dortmund coach who has been unemployed for a few weeks.

Bild reports that Bayern Munich may fire Nagelsmann if the team continues to struggle in October, opening the door for unemployed Tuchel to make a swift return to the sport.

Oliver Kahn, though, has officially supported Nagelsmann despite rumors linking Tuchel to the top post in Germany.

Kahn stated to Sky Germany, “We are not dealing with any other coaches now. We are totally convinced of Julian.

“Of course, we are all dissatisfied, in a bad mood. We have to get to the bottom of it all. And assume that as soon as it starts again against Leverkusen, we will and must attack fully.

“Perhaps one or the other has taken hold of the belief that you could do the Bundesliga on the side. But that’s not the case.”

Tuchel led Chelsea to their second Champions League title in 2021, however the club’s ownership shift and weak start to the next season led to his dismissal as one of the earliest managerial casualties in the Premier League.
