Ruben Neves uses three-words to describe Liverpool amid their current struggles

Despite their 3-0 loss to Wolves on Saturday, Ruben Neves describes Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool as a “really, really good” squad.

The Portugal international, who scored the game-winning goal after receiving a through ball from Adama Traore, added that it was a “massive victory” for his team.

Recently, these two teams met in the FA Cup. Following a 2-2 draw at Anfield, the Midlands team forced a rematch before being defeated in their own backyard.

This time, however, the outcome was entirely different, and the home team’s performance was much better.

It is fair to say that the same cannot be said for those on Merseyside, who are suffering tremendously in every game they play.

According to BBC Sport, this is how Neves evaluated Saturday’s match, as well as his thoughts on Liverpool in light of their current struggles.

“Massive win,” said Neves. “It’s really important for us. Three more points in our fight against a really, really good team.

“One of the big six. I think we showed in the last two games against them that we could beat this team and we did it. A fantastic game for us. We started the game really well. Two goals.

“Then, at the start of the second half, we knew they would come at us with everything, as they did. We needed to suffer a little bit. We needed to stick together and we did really well.”

This is likely the thought process of many Liverpool supporters, as their team is in a complete and utter shambles.

The Reds appear exhausted, as if they had to endure 12 rounds with Mike Tyson and another 12 rounds with Tyson Fury on the same night.

The problem is that if they continue in their current manner, and nothing indicates that they will change, they will not only miss out on Champions League football.

However, it is possible that there will be no European football at all next season, which would destroy their chances of signing the elite players.
