Roy Keane brands Erling Haaland ‘spoilt brat’ as a war of words reignites
Manchester United icon Roy Keane has intensified his ongoing feud with Erling Haaland by branding the Manchester City forward a “spoiled brat” during a live television appearance.
Haaland has recently faced harsh criticism from Keane, who previously described him as a ‘League Two player’ following a lackluster performance against Arsenal last month.
However, the Norwegian striker bounced back in remarkable fashion on Saturday, netting four goals against Wolves in City’s 5-1 victory in the Premier League.
Following the match, Haaland retaliated against the former player’s remarks, stating on Viaplay, “I really couldn’t care less about that individual.”
Keane has escalated the feud by describing Haaland as a “spoiled brat” during a live TV appearance. On Sky Sports, the former United captain remarked, “I think we saw Haaland yesterday brought off not too happy, behaving like a spoiled brat.”
He also expressed that despite Haaland’s performance, his behavior was unacceptable, especially considering his spat with the manager.
Keane’s response left the studio in an uncomfortable silence after he firmly stated that it wasn’t acceptable to be disappointed with Guardiola’s decision despite a stellar performance on the pitch.
Despite not replicating last season’s exceptional performance, the prolific scorer from City still leads the race for the Golden Boot award, having already scored 25 league goals, four more than Cole Palmer in second place. Pep Guardiola’s team will play their next Premier League match against Fulham at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, a crucial game they must win.
