Romano delivers shock claim about striker Arsenal are in discussions to sign, he’s taller than Haaland
If Arsenal is actually interested in Gianluca Scamacca, it appears that he will be available.
Arsenal has been linked with the towering striker on numerous occasions since the January transfer market closed.
According to FC Inter News, the Gunners are among those interested in the 6’5″ Sassuolo striker.
The same publication also revealed a month ago that the North Londoners had increased their efforts to sign the 23-year-old by speaking with his representatives.
According to Romano’s most recent report, Arsenal should be encouraged.

That’s because, despite signing a new deal in April, the dependable Italian journalist has claimed that the star will almost probably leave the Serie A club this summer.
He told Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel: “Yes, yes, he will leave Sassuolo.
“He extended the contract a few days ago but he will leave Sassuolo. It was an extension to allow a potential loan with obligation to buy clause. So that’s why he extended the contract, and yes, there are many clubs interested in him.”
Leaving despite signing a contract extension is a significant development that might greatly help Arsenal.
In the short term, yes.
That’s because, according to Romano, Scamacca will be available on a loan basis this summer, with an obligation to buy in the summer of 2023.
Essentially, the Gunners may save roughly £33 million – Scamacca’s worth – in this transfer window, or use that amount to reinforce other sections of the team, and simply pay the price for Scamacca in about 14 months.
There’s always a danger with foreign imports, but we know Scamacca is a physical behemoth, standing even taller than Erling Haaland, who stands at 6’4.
