Rival Club Emerges in Race for Jude Bellingham with Potential to Outbid Liverpool with a Whopping $161m Transfer

After the January transfer window has closed, Liverpool will focus on acquiring Jude Bellingham in the summer.

In all likelihood, Jürgen Klopp and the club will go all-in on the England international, a somewhat risky move considering that, if it fails, Liverpool may be forced to settle for a subpar Bellingham replacement.

Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea are all rumored to be involved in the race to sign Bellingham, making it a difficult task.

Even among this group of clubs, Liverpool would find it difficult to meet Dortmund’s financial demands.

The arrival of Newcastle, which is reportedly interested in acquiring Bellingham for the upcoming season, could make Liverpool’s task even more difficult.

According to German publication Bild, Newcastle is attempting to assert itself in the race to sign Bellingham, though it is unclear whether the club believes it can actually sign him.

If Newcastle qualified for the Champions League this season in addition to its wealthy benefactors, it would be able to sign Bellingham at a price Liverpool could never match.

However, it is probable that the player himself will make the decision. Borussia Dortmund reportedly seeks $161 million (£131 million/€150 million) for the teenager this summer (via The Mirror).
