Report: ‘Unbelievable’ title-winning manager now learning English, after Tottenham made contact

Tottenham Hotspur continue to search for a new manager following Antonio Conte’s departure.

Numerous coaches, including Luis Enrique, have been linked to the Tottenham job.

Tony Damascelli, an Italian journalist, reported in March that Spurs had “already” made contact with the Spanish man.

“I know that Luis Enrique has already been contacted,” he told Radio Radio, as transcribed by CMW and Sport Witness.

“There is a good possibility that he will go to England.”

More recently, Tottenham has been competing with Chelsea for the best available managers.

Enrique showed interest in the Blues position.

Wednesday, Ben Jacobs reported that the 52-year-old had traveled to London for discussions with the club.

They were  ‘really impressed by initial conversations and have considered Enrique in the past,’ he wrote on Twitter.

‘Enrique has been working on his English. Julian Nagelsmann remains the other leading candidate.’

Since then, Tottenham have received a boost due to rumors that Chelsea have appointed Frank Lampard as interim manager.

Nevertheless, according to Fabrizio Romano, both Enrique and Nagelsmann remain interested in the Blues job in the long run.

Enrique is a “incredible” manager who has performed miracles for Barcelona and Spain.

The rumor that he is learning English is a positive sign that he would be a good fit for Tottenham.

Enrique appears interested in a long-term project, which is precisely what Spurs are currently.

Prior to Tottenham’s ability to compete for trophies on an ongoing basis at N17, there is much work to be done.

However, Spurs will face stiff competition for Enrique’s services from Chelsea.

We will observe what transpires on this front.

Nonetheless, Enrique is unquestionably an excellent manager who could reverse the fortunes of the North Londoners.
