Report: ‘Perfect’ manager now ready to ditch his job for Tottenham Hotspur
As per a report by The Sun, Vincent Kompany is reportedly willing to depart Burnley and take on the role of the manager at Tottenham Hotspur, succeeding Antonio Conte, who has been dismissed.
In the interim, Cristian Stellini will manage the Tottenham first team until the conclusion of the season. The report further suggests that Kompany has shown his interest in becoming Tottenham’s manager. Currently, the ex-Manchester City defender is leading Burnley.
The Championship team, the Clarets, are close to securing automatic promotion to the Premier League.
According to The Sun, Kompany is currently the frontrunner for the managerial position at Tottenham, which will be vacant at the end of the season.
We believe that Vincent Kompany may take over as the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur after this season concludes. While he is currently on the verge of leading Burnley back to the Premier League, it’s unlikely that they will do anything other than struggle to stay afloat in the top tier of English football next season.
Given Tottenham’s status as a much larger club than Burnley, the opportunity to manage the team from North London could be extremely enticing for Kompany. In March 2023, former Liverpool player Don Hutchison described Kompany as “perfect” and “immaculate.”
