Report: ‘Outstanding’ defender now wants to quit Liverpool

According to SI, Liverpool have received proposals for Neco Williams from Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

According to the report, Williams wants to leave Liverpool in order to get more playing time, and Forest and Fulham have made bids for him.

According to the report, Crystal Palace are also interested in the Wales international right-back, who is valued at £15 million by Liverpool.

According to SI, bids from Forest and Fulham are “in the £12m-£15m bracket, including add-ons that would satisfy Liverpool.”

Williams, a Wales international who will compete in the 2022 World Cup finals, was described as “outstanding” by Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the club’s official website in December 2021.

To be in good shape in Qatar, the 21-year-old must play regularly throughout the first few months of next season.

That will not happen at Liverpool, where Trent Alexander-Arnold is the starting right-back.

Williams helped Fulham achieve promotion to the Premier League after spending the second half of last season on loan from Liverpool.

A season-long loan or a permanent move to Fulham would be an excellent move for the 21-year-old Liverpool right-back.
