Report: First Manchester United signing could undergo medical this weekend, terms already agreed
According to The Athletic, Tyrell Malacia could have his Manchester United medical this weekend.
Malacia has now agreed personal terms with Manchester United, having overcome a snag with his agency.
After agreeing a transfer deal with Feyenoord last week, the Red Devils are now closing in on a move, beating out competition from Lyon.
Malacia is set to become Manchester United’s first signing, with a deal that is closer to completion than Frenkie de Jong’s departure.
United is still waiting to hear from free agency midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has yet to announce his next move.
Possible new signing Frenkie de Jong is still on vacation, enjoying his new fiancee’s engagement.

United are also thought to be moving quickly in their pursuit of Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez.
Athletic information United are in ‘advanced talks’ with the Argentina international and are considered the favourites to sign him ahead of Arsenal.
For a player who is already an international, £15 million is good value. After making his debut with the Netherlands last year, he has five caps to his record.
At only 22 years old, this is a low-risk investment for United and the type of transaction needed to offset the larger cost on Frenkie de Jong.
Malacia’s value might skyrocket if he is selected to play in the World Cup. Moving now, rather than before the event, is ideal.
