Report: Erik ten Hag now eyeing the first bid of £51m Spurs target that Conte wants to sign at whatever the price

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United will make a bid for Alessandro Bastoni in order to beat Antonio Conte and Tottenham Hotspur to the Inter Milan star’s contract.

This summer, Bastoni could be on his way to the Premier League. The 23-year-old has established himself as one of the best young center-backs in the league.

According to reports, Conte has instructed Tottenham to sign Bastoni at any cost. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Spurs are keeping a close eye on him.

They do, however, mention that Manchester City has already requested information on Bastoni. They may make a move this summer. Meanwhile, Manchester United is very much in contention.

Erik ten Hag’s men are in reality preparing an offer. They are aware that the Nerazzurri will not accept less than £51.2 million (€60 million) for Bastoni.

Tottenham, on the other hand, will not give them a free run at his signature. Conte, according to Gazzetta, feels Bastoni is destined to become one of the world’s greatest in his position.

Manchester United and Tottenham are vying for more than one centre-back, including Bastoni. According to reports on Tuesday, they have both submitted bids of roughly £43 million for Pau Torres.

Torres is said to prefer playing at Old Trafford. As a result, it appears like Tottenham must win the race for Bastoni.

Certainly, Bastoni moving elsewhere would devastate Conte.

Tottenham will not want to let their manager down. They’re headed in the correct direction. However, preserving the Italian appears to be critical.

During their time at Inter, Bastoni described Conte as “phenomenal.” So you’d think he’d be interested in joining Tottenham.

Spurs must therefore act swiftly before he joins another Premier League club.
