Referee who urinated on the pitch seconds before kickoff has been banned for six months.

Denis da Silva Ribeiro Serafim who peed on himself seconds before the start of a match between Boavista and Goias has received a six-months ban.

The referee relieved himself without pulling down his shorts but was filmed on TV. The commenters failed to capture this extra-ordinary drama as he did it discretely.

It is the telltale urine that ran down his leg that captured the attention of eagle-eyed viewers. As the match continued, the footage went viral

Fans stormed social media to make fun of the whole drama. One user on social media suggested: The ref peed in his pants so he didn’t have to go to the toilet to delay the match.
